What Are Master Pages ?

There are many of these to get you to your subject FAST. They will be text based, a geographic index (places only), a timeline (people and places) or based upon an intuitive theme. Colour coding of themes is used throughout.

Is Data Still Being Added ?

The database is huge and will continue to be added to frequently. You will know how much data is on a page before you go to it by its (hover & click): Traffic Light Status

Are There Many Links ?

Pages contain very many of these and they can be distracting and so they appear in slightly lighter than normal text until you hover over them (as the traffic light status link immediately above)

What Is A Shortcut ?

Located at the top right of a page these enable you to jump off to another related subject that may not be in the linear order in which a subject is being described. DON’T FORGET: If you hover your mouse over one of these and right-click you can take the option to open a new tab in that subject whilst retaining the current tab that you’re on. Simples !

What Is A Mini Series ?

Some subjects just cannot be covered on one single page. Therefore a link will be given to flexibly go more deeply as a theme. A separate list them is here: Mini Series Master Page

We are keen for you to find what you are looking for. This can be found in the Further Information strap at the bottom of a page or by going to our Specialists Master Page
