Warwickshire CAVA -Bishopton & Clopton

People live in communities. Well, not so much in the modern age, so for 200 years CAVA or it’s preceding organisations have been helping people to integrate. VASA -Care & Transport In Stratford and many more

Community activities, Memory Clubs, wheelchair loans and community transport. Originally started in 1978 by Clarissa Roberts, with a focus on groups for those living with dementia and respite for their carers, by 2000 she was awarded the MBE for services to the community. Vasa, originally started in Stratford, now bring benefits to the whole of South Warwickshire. They are always looking for helpers, volunteers and drivers in Stratford, Shiptson, Wellesbourne, Alcester, Warwick, Leamington, Kenilworth, Southam, Rugby and all surrounding villages.

Productive Communities

The Makers Space

Established on the west side of Alcester in 2023 they are a community of local skilled people who provide services in: ceramics, printing, photography, floristry, sewing, dressmaking and a very competent cafe. Mon-Sat: 9:30-17:00, Sun 10:00-16:00.

However don’t think that they have to do it all because they’ll teach you to - see their very many Workshops.

Volunteers care for hundreds of sick hedgehogs each year with the aim of releasing them back into the wild.
