History
Paid for by The Quakers and designed by the architect Edward Mountford in 1884.
In 1900 the Gardeners Lodge was built and is now the only original building remaining.

In 1990‘s it was sold to Q Hotel Group (Leeds) and the original hospital building was pulled down and a new luxury hotel erected. The original clock was transferred to the roof of the new building.
