Voluntary Lights
The Christmas lights volunteers explain their story..
“The festive lights display in Stratford-upon-Avon has been illuminating the town over the Christmas period since 1983 and is considered to be one of the finest in the UK.
The display is organised by a dedicated team of unpaid volunteers who work tirelessly throughout the year to ensure the lights shine each Christmas. You can find out more about this process by visiting our blog.
The Christmas lights are funded by generous grants from Stratford-upon-Avon Town Council, Stratford-upon-Avon BID and Stratford Town Trust alongside sponsorship and donations from businesses, residents and the general public. If you have ever visited the town at Christmas and enjoyed the display, please consider donating towards the cost of the lights on our donations page. Every penny is invested into the upkeep of the lights.”
