Temporary rails lead up to the rear of the truck and the coach is winched on board    26 April 2024

The track fishplates are removed to break it into 5 ton pieces where it is loaded onto a separate truck      26 April 2024

New User

Warwickshire County Council say that they are finalising an agreement with a new trader who will put down shipping containers. Therefore the track will no longer be required. The whole job is funded by WCC.

Coach Will Be Preserved

A spokesman said that currently there is no plan to scrap the coach. It is therefore being taken to Stoke-on-Trent to join others held in storage there.

End Of An Era

Work commenced at 9am and was completed by lunchtime. Workmen said that they move 5 coaches per week this way.
