History

Major Redevelopment

In 2014 it was taken over by Blue Coast Capital Investments (was UK & European Investments) and in February 2016, lead by John Stacey, the much needed £30M revamp was completed. For such a modest place this was a significant amount of money and one can only assume that there were many stakeholders in the scheme including Stratford Town Council. As many similar shopping centres have glass rooves overhead the choice was probably the right one as the capital expenditure would’ve been enormously expensive but also there would’ve been ongoing cleaning and a centralised security costs.

The result is a bright joyous place which enjoys considerable hours of sunshine in the summer.
