History

In 1074 the de Luci clan followed William the Conqueror from Normandy and set up in Essex. By 1247 they were prominent land owners in this part of Warwickshire.

Confusingly Thomas was the most common first name for male heirs. The following Thomas Lucys are known to have existed:

*It’s likely that this Thomas build Charlecote Mill.
