History

On 8th January 1855 St James The Great Church was consecrated by Bishop Henry Pepys. The Rev Henry Harding was the first Vicar with Henry Twells being his Sub-Vicar (an awful lot of Henry’s !)

Demolition


In 1968 the developer brought about the church’s final demise.
