What It Might Have Looked Like Inside
Of course nothing is known of this church’s interior but there are other Anglo-Saxon churches in England that are surprisingly well preserved. One such is St Laurence’s Church in Bradford-on-Avon shown here in monochrome. If you want to see all of it in colour follow the link below.
History
The first church was built by the Anglo-Saxons and it is long since gone. It was most likely made of wood as the English oak thrived in the area. However it was replaced by a stone one. Here’s an artist’s guess.
